Roanoke, VA – August 29, 2024 –Veracity is pleased to announce South East Cornerstone Public School Division #209 (SECPSD) has selected Veracity’s Technology Management SystemTM (TMS) to bring centralization, communication, and efficiency to its schools – and is the first to do so in Canada. The southeastern Saskatchewan division, bordered by Manitoba to the east, Ogema to the west, Rocanville and Fillmore to the north, and the United States to the south, encompasses 35 schools in 27 communities with over 8,200 students.
Michael Graham, Curriculum and Technology Coordinator (embracing a dual role with limited staff), set out to solve a few key challenges including disparate systems and minimal resources for building or automating processes. As part of his team’s vision to provide a progressive technological environment that empowers continued success and achievement, Graham desired a system which would support collaboration among superintendents and staff of the South, East, and West Areas.
SECPSD has relied on spreadsheets and platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint for sharing and managing content internally and externally, but Graham has struggled to meet his vision and goals with these solutions. He shared “Our priorities include enabling teachers to be competent and confident using technology; providing reliable, cost effective, and secure ecosystems that support learning (and all the training and resources needed); and improving effectiveness through efficient practices. Veracity will help facilitate our continuous quest on this mission.”
Graham has stated that he is most eager to implement a technology approval process for the 2024-2025 school year with the newest feature set in Veracity’s Technology Management System. “Teachers being able to request a new product – or an available license of an already purchased product – will drastically reduce the time spent addressing multiple redundant inquiries in my inbox throughout the school year,” Graham added.
SECPSD begins implementation this week and plans to rollout new and improved communications and processes this fall.
